Kathmandu – Renowned for his boundless versatility, Rudra Shekhar Sharma, fondly known as RUDY, stands as a mesmerizing singer whose talent transcends linguistic and cultural boundaries. He Was born from Jhapa, District Nepal, Singer Sharma’s love for music bloomed early in his life under the nurturing guidance of his parents, Bhumika Devi Upadhaya and Ganga Prasad Sharma. Throughout his formative years, Sharma actively engaged in cultural activities, and upon his transition to Kathmandu, his dream of pursuing a musical career soared with the plethora of opportunities in the capital city.

During his educational journey in Kathmandu, Sharma diligently attended singing classes across various institutes, meticulously refining his craft and embracing contemporary musical styles. His exceptional prowess quickly captured the attention of the music industry, catapulting him to success within an astonishingly brief timeframe. Despite the presence of established luminaries, Singer Sharma carved his unique niche, contributing actively to the Nepali music scene for over a decade. Notably, his debut album “RUPAM,” released in 2074 BS, garnered widespread acclaim for its five soul-stirring tracks, solidifying his status as a prominent figure in the industry.

Amidst the adversities posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Sharma’s commitment to his artistry and social responsibility remained unwavering as he continued to release poignant compositions like “Devadut Haau Timi,” dedicated to frontline healthcare workers.

Expressing his profound love for music, Sharma remarked, “I am very fond of singing songs in different languages. In my opinion, music has no language or boundaries; it is only through practice that mastery is achieved.”

Despite his background in Software engineering, Rudra Shekhar Sharma has successfully navigated the challenges of balancing multiple professions to pursue his dream of becoming a prominent figure in the Nepali music industry.
