KATHMANDU- Reema Shrestha, a Nepali lyricist residing in the United States, has been consistently releasing heartfelt songs. Though professionally an IT engineer, her passion for writing and music has never faded. Her works often explore themes of separation, love, and positivity, making a meaningful impact on listeners.

Over the years, she has collaborated with renowned Nepali singers, including Anju Panta, Swaroop Raj Acharya, Pramod Kharel, Prashna Shakya, Menuka Poudel, Asmita Adhikari, Pushpan Pradhan, Rajesh Payal Rai, Rewati Rai, and Kiran Gajmer. She shares, “Writing gives a unique sense of joy.” Her creations are shared through her YouTube channel, Reema Shrestha’s World.

Despite her busy life abroad, Reema has remained deeply connected to Nepali art, culture, language, and traditional identity. For the past six years, she has been serving as an advisor to the Kansas City Nepalese Society, which organizes cultural events like New Year, Teej, Holi, Dashain, and Deusi-Bhailo, along with musical programs featuring Nepalese artists.

Her latest release, “Yaad,” features the soulful voice of Pramod Kharel and lyrics by Reema herself. The music is composed by Rabindra Poudel, while the video showcases performances by Dr. Subhash Acharya, Rabindra Paudyal, and Kritika Basnet. Directed by Sonam Pakhrin, with cinematography by Dinesh Parajuli and editing by Bikash Dahal, the video is now available on multiple digital platforms.
