Kathmandu –Power International Media Nepal (PIM Nepal) has entered the fourth year after completing the third year of its establishment. PIM Nepal celebrated its third anniversary in a grand manner by organizing a program in the capital on Bhadra 25 under the chief hospitality of the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jeevan Ram Shrestha. Senior film director and artist Mohan Niraula presided over the event, composer of national song Byakul Maila, senior musician Raju Singh, senior journalist Bijayratna Tuladhar, senior journalist and lyricist Shantipriya, famous musician Santosh Shrestha, lyricist and journalist Suman Bairagi, Vice President of Film Journalists Association Jeevan. Parajuli, film journalist and lyricist Dabbu Chhetri, actor Pravan Bhushal, journalist Surya Chand, film journalist Geeta Adhikari, president of Dolphin Council Nepal, and film producer Shridev BL,
Wildlife photographer Chungba Sherpa, coordinator of the Bagmati Cleanliness Campaign and president of the Bal Sarathi organization Special honors were also given to Dr. Mala Kharel, sportsperson and the first Nepali woman to do long line rescue, Phunjo Jangmu Lama, lyricist Purushottam Sanu, Advocate Hari Bahadur Karki, singer Om Sunar, singer Asmita Shrestha, lyricist Samir Khan and others.
Pim Nepal President Madhab Raj Kharel said that this organization has been encouraging people who have earned fame in various fields including art culture, music, tourism, and social service, and he and his working committee members have been working day and night for the revival of art and culture. The general secretary of the organization, Kamala Joshi, gave the welcome speech for the program. The organization has Vice President Poorna Rai and Shreedev Bhattarai, Secretary Rajan Thapa, Treasurer Rajan Kharel, members Rammani Dhakal, Sapna Joshi, Geeta Singh, Rajju Gurung, Shobha GC, Arjun Kharel, Namrata Kharel and others.
Chief guest Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Shrestha said that important work can be done for the development of Nepal’s tourism promotion through art, literature, culture, film and music. He also said that the “Visit Nepal Decade” campaign will be conducted from this year on behalf of the government. Chief Guest Minister Shrestha said that the activities done by organizations like PIM Nepal for the promotion of art culture and music and tourism can definitely play an important role in the development of tourism in the country.
